Spring 2010 Semester Reports - Due May 15th by 11:59pm

Dear Chartered Organization,

As a condition of maintaining a charter, every chartered organization under College Council is expected to submit a semester report.  Temporarily chartered organizations, as well as those with enduring and perpetual charters, must submit reports. The Spring 2010 Semester Report can be found below and contains all necessary instructions.  The report form can also be found on the College Council conferences.  We use these reports as our primary means to track your club's activity.

This document will be due by 11:59pm on May 15th.  Any late or absent submissions will result in your account being frozen (inactive status) in addition to an automatic charter revocation hearing in which your organization may lose its charter.  For your convenience, the report is short and concise - please return reports at your earliest convenience and do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.  Kindly send your materials to the "Semester Reports Spring 2010" conference.

Note that this report has been sent out 4 weeks before the due date with the intention that every group can submit their report in a timely manner. Late submissions will not be accepted.

Let me also take this opportunity to introduce our new Vice President for Administration, Stephanie Spangler, who will now handle all club charters, the liaison system and Council of Presidents meeting. We are excited to have her join us!

Thank you for your cooperation this past semester. Please let Stephanie or me know if you have any questions.

Kind regards,

Arjun Seth
Chief of Staff. College Council

Emory University's 10th Annual State of Race featuring Dr. Cornel West

Join us this year in welcoming Dr. Cornel West, the keynote speaker for the 10th Annual Emory State of Race, as presented by the College Council and Emory's Center for Ethics. Dr. West is universally acknowledged as one of the great intellects in the world today. He is currently a professor at Princeton University in the department of Religion and the Center for African American Studies. Dr. West will be discussing his memoir on the progression of race relations in America, as well as hip-hop and Obama. There will also be a step performance by the brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha. After the event, Dr. West will hold a book signing for his new book, Brother West Living and Loving Out Loud.

Tickets are available at the Dobbs University Center Information Desk. Students must present their ID to get a ticket.
