Jibran Shermohammed

Jibran Shermohammed is a sophomore at Emory University fromSnellville Georgia. He is double majoring in Political Science and Philosophyand hopes to go to pursue a carrier in law. Jibran has been involved in variousstudent Government organizations through out middle and high school and islooking forwards to applying his experience and dedication to Emory’s 53rdCollege Council. His goals for College Council include improving wirelessInternet connection on campus, arranging shuttles for students at Woodruff andhelping increase Emory University’s school spirit.

 

Nikhil Kundra

Nikhil "Nik" Kundra is a sophomore from Clearwater, FL who intends to major in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology and hopes to become a physician. Nik has been intimately involved in the Council’s Programming, Student Concerns, GER Review, Think Tank, and Sophomore Reorientation committees. He has also worked on the “Dooley Direct” shuttle program and the “Chipotle Chats” focus groups. However, his largest accomplishments as a freshman have been organizing the two largest blood drives in Emory history and working with OUE to revamp the FAME experience starting Fall 2008. In addition, Nik will be continuing his involvement in Residence Hall Association as the Executive Publicity Coordinator, and also serves as Co-Founder and Vice President of the Emory Chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary, Presenter of the Crystal Apple Award for Graduate & Professional Education, a member on the Committee on Academic Integrity and on the Class Gift Committee. Nikhil also participates in the Indian Cultural Exchange, Hindu Students Council, Volunteer Emory, and won “Best Residence Hall” for his movie "That’s Stretching It" as part of Campus Movie Fest in 2008.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Liza Carter

Liza Carter is a freshman in the College from Columbia, South Carolina. Outside of College Council, Liza is a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, Synergy, Volunteer Emory, on the executive board of Alternative Spring Break, and involved in a number of projects associated with EmoryVision. She is very excited about representing the Class of 2011 on College Council and hopes to work on improving the Sophomore experience, helping to restructure the GER system, and helping to plan many community-building activities at Emory by increasing the availability of information regarding such campus-wide events.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Anish Shah

Anish Shah is a sophomore at Emory University from Dallas, TX.  As of now, he is undeclared in his major, but is interested in the sciences but is not pre-med or pre-buisness, with no idea on where he might end up.  He is involved in many organizations on campus that promote unity and diversity at Emory, such as Sustained Dialogue, BAM '07, MORE, Unity Month Planning Committee, SAAAAC Exec, ICE, and others.  Anish is starting the year off with the Crossroads Diversity Retreat 2008, and plans on promoting student involvement, both academical and in extracurriculars, once he arrives as a Sophomore Legislator.
