Desmond Pennamon
|  | Desmond Pennamon is a College sophomore from Fort Riley, Kansas who now resides in Douglasville, Ga. He is pursuing a major in Political Science with a minor in Astronomy and Physics. Desmond is the vice president of the Brotherhood of Afrocentric Men. He also worked as RHA spirit and sports chair for Trimble Hall. He is serving his first term on the council as a sophomore legislator. Desmond is excited to be a part of the Council and is looking forward to making great changes. His major goals for this year include working with Dr. Shulman on a student-teacher lecturing collaboration and forming a staff appreciation committee. | Philip Chang | | | Philip is a rising sophomore from New York City pursuing a double major in Creative Writing and Marketing. He previously served as Freshman Legislator on the Council, and worked on larger initiatives such as the major's fair, the new bookstore, and FACE (Food Advisory Committee at Emory), as well as smaller ones including the Cox Tower bell chimes and the tire swing. After an eventful and productive term, he is looking forward to another year as Sophomore Legislator, where he plans on tackling even greater projects like single strand recycling and student space. | Seth Schortz |  | Seth Schortz, a sophomore hailing from Dix Hills, New York, is pursuing a double major in History and Art History and he hopes to eventually apply for the BA/MA program in History. Tailoring his goals towards the input of his constituents, Seth became an active member of the Student Concerns Committee of the Council during the first and second semester of his freshman year as a Freshman Legislator on the council. He has lent his support and service towards major initiatives such as "Course Evaluations" and "Improving Wireless Internet on Campus" and is currently working to extensively revamp the college's "PE 101" health requirement. He is undergoing discussions with Dr. Adame and Professor Stauf of the health department, mediating the concerns of the students with the ultimate goals of the class. Eli Recht
| | Eli Recht is a sophomore currently pursuing a major in Psychology. After previously serving as Freshman Legislator, Eli is excited and enthusiastic about a new year on College Council as Sophomore Legislator. His major goals for this year include: increasing the transparency of Course Evaluations, assisting in the design and content of the New Student Bookstore, remaining a member of the Food Advisory Committee at Emory, and maintaining the crucial communication between the Council and his classmates.
