Brett Henson

 

Tammy Syed

Tammy Syed is a sophomore at Emory University from Chicago, IL. She is a Neuroscience Behavioral Biology and Theater Studies double major and she is involved in many various organizations on campus. She has served as a Programming Assistant the past year, works with The Emory Wheel, serves as the Sustainability chair for RHA, and is actively involved in MSA, and Model UN. She hopes to serve as a responsible and reliable voice for the Junior class, being able to address their comments and concerns openly, and build better relations between various groups at Emory and College Council. She plans to work with campus dining and Sodehxo to reduce food waste and donate unused food to local shelters, build on the Sustainability initiative by raising awareness about energy reduction, increasing the frequency of recycling, and increasing the use of bikes as a means for alternate transportation. She will use her 'thespian' side to integrate more art programs on campus, and her 'analytical' side to bring frequent shuttle service on the weekends.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ravi Makadia

Ravi Makadia is a sophomore at Emory University from Norcross,GA. He is working towards a career in medicine and is involved in various organizations on campus including ICE and EmoryVision. He is a member of the Indian Bhangra dance team Azaadi and is involved likes to participate in regular community service activities. As Junior Legislator, Ravi hopes to start a shuttle service to Woodruff as well as many off campus housing sites (Gables and Highland Lake). In addition Ravi hopes to start a program that raises the awareness of water usage on the Emory campus and hopes to reduce it.

  

 

 

Ruth Yang

Ruth Yang is a junior legislator from Snellville, GA. She is majoring in both political science and sociology and hopes to attend law school as soon as she graduates from Emory. This is her third year on College Council, so it has become an integral part of her Emory experience. Some of her big projects this year will consist of sustainability issues and safety on campus. Whatever your concerns may be, voice them to her. She will do the best of her abilities to make Emory your home away from home.
