Join us this year in welcoming Dr. Cornel West, the keynote speaker for the 10th Annual Emory State of Race, as presented by the College Council and Emory's Center for Ethics. Dr. West is universally acknowledged as one of the great intellects in the world today. He is currently a professor at Princeton University in the department of Religion and the Center for African American Studies. Dr. West will be discussing his memoir on the progression of race relations in America, as well as hip-hop and Obama. There will also be a step performance by the brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha. After the event, Dr. West will hold a book signing for his new book, Brother West Living and Loving Out Loud. Tickets are available at the Dobbs University Center Information Desk. Students must present their ID to get a ticket.
