Reema Dedania

Reema Dedania is a junior in the college pursuing a major in Anthropology and Human Biology and a minor in Global Health. After previously serving as VP of Communications, Reema is excited to begin another year on the Council. Her goals for the year are to continue to work on the student administrative committee to devise new ways to encourage co-sponsorship between different organizations on campus. Additionally, she will be working to enhance FAME and the upperclass advising system and hopes to serve as a resource to student legislators working on projects related to campus life. She is a member of the President's Commission on the Status of Women, where she co-chairs an advisory committee on academic concerns and sits on the Emory College Admissions and Scholarship Committee. She is also currently the the vice-president of Emory College's Indian Cultural Exchange and a member of the Bhangra dance team, Karma.

 

Benjamin van der Horst

Benjamin van der Horst is a Senior from Cincinnati, Ohio in the BA/MA program in American History.  Prior to serving as Chief of Staff, he was a Junior Legislator on the 52nd College Council where he brought free newspapers to Emory students through the Collegiate Readership Program and worked with Elizabeth Farrar in bringing additional transporation options to campus through the launch of the Emory Experience and Dooley Direct Shuttles.  This year he wants to be a resource to legislators in helping them to pursue their iniatives as well as working on improving internship resources for Emory students and improving LearnLink.  He is also involved with CSAmerica, Emory Political Review, and is a weekly columnist for the Emory Wheel.
