Experience the Virginia Highlands Interested in getting off campus? Take the Emory Experience shuttles this Saturday to the Virginia Highlands! Restaurants, shopping, and more are all just a short ride away. Shuttles will be leaving from behind the DUC on the half-hour from 6:00 PM to 1:00 AM. Shuttles leave the Highlands outside Murphy's on the hour with the last shuttle leaving for campus at 12:30 AM. Blood Drive - Save a Life College Council, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., RHA, and Volunteer Emory will be hosting a blood drive with help from the American Red Cross on April 9th. As every donated pint of blood saves up to three lives, everyone is strongly encouraged to give. The event will also fulfill GLA requirements. Moe’s and Einstein’s Bagels will be catering, as Rock Band, Halo, movies, and more will also be available. The drive will take place from 11AM to 4PM on the 1st floor of the WoodPEC. Everybody who donates will receive a sports water bottle and will be entered into a raffle for a cruise for two (including airfare)! Finally, the Red Cross will be providing TWICE the amount of nurses and equipment to truly expedite the process, so please visit [ http://www.givelife.org ]www.givelife.org to make an appointment and enter the sponsor code: “Emory” for 4/3/2008! Hall of Fame Nominations: Last Chance Do you know an individual who has positively influenced the Emory community? Want to recognize a student for his or her hard work? If so, submit a nomination for the Emory Hall of Fame! Nominations take just minutes to fill out but could make an impact in the life of someone who has worked to impact the Emory community! The Dooley Direct Shuttles Running this Weekend College Council will continue to run on-campus shuttles on Friday and Saturday nights from 11 pm until 3AM to assess student transportation needs. Stops include Clairmont, Turman, Woodruff Residential Center, Dooley's Depot, and Eagle Row approximately every 20 minutes.
